Oh joy, Joe Finder’s got a new novel coming out April 19, 2005. It’s titled: Company Man. I truly enjoyed Paranoia, a great book that was fun to read. Got an email from him today and I don’t think he’ll mind me quoting him (since it’s about the book):
I think (and hope) you’ll like this one at least as much as, or perhaps more than, PARANOIA. COMPANY MAN occupies some of the same turf as PARANOIA — the corporate intrigue, etc. But it has two protagonists instead of one: one, Nick Conover, is a widowed father of two kids and the CEO of a company who’s accused of murder; and the other, Audrey Rhimes, is a homicide investigator who’s determined to connect him to the crime. I think it’s a pretty cool story, and although it has a different “voice” than PARANOIA — it’s told in the third person, and Nick is an older guy than Adam Cassidy was — it goes deeper into the central characters’ personal lives. There’s a fair amount of police procedural/forensic investigation stuff in the book, which I really enjoyed researching and writing. I like this story a whole lot. But then again, I’m biased. Let me know if you’d like to receive an advance copy. Thanks again for your enthusiastic support — it means a great deal to me. All best, Joe
Send it on!! Can’t wait.
