Flickr kicks in and works !

Posted by vmac under WordGames

Flickr is amazing. If the folks who created it ever come to Eastern NC (and poor folks, I hope they never have to — no one should come here unless it’s to pick up a million dollars and then leave) I will make them a pitcher of sweet tea, a huge pot of cheese grits, fry ‘em some shrimp, bake them a TarHeel pie and let them sit on my front porch. And ask Robert to join us, because he told me to try Flickr. I had some problems with Flickr uploading last night because… duh… der… I’d been taking photos all day and came home, downloaded them, then had to deal with dog training 101 (2 Jack Russell puppies who are the Clown Dogs of the South) — and then format and load a new issue of the Dead Mule (still not finished with that chore) so I was exhausted and, as I am want to do — I did not follow instructions. The problem with me is: oftentimes when something doesn’t work, I blame Windows and give up. Because I use SuSE for my desktop Linux environment, I tend to get quite defensive and blame an OS for any computer fubarrs. Then I walk away unless I can get spousal unit in here to fix my problems (he is my LinuxMan.) Today I went back into Flickr, tried again — TOOK MY TIME and FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS. It was fun, easy, and it will be hard to work on my book because I enjoyed Flikr way too much so I will have to limit my flikr fun or I’ll neve get anything done. JOIN FLICKR and look me up. I’m deadmule
