Kudos to Jeff Boulter’s Blog for the 2007 update of a 2005 post concerning a driver for the Samsung 1740 laser printer. I love this printer, had it for years because of its Linux all-calm just-go driver. I had to move from Linux to Apple when the iBook purchase occurred. SuSE still rules, as far as I’m concerned but the man o’the house, macewan.org, is an Ubuntu big time user. Now I’ve gone to Mac and I can’t go back.
This Boulter Blog is going to be a favorite, I can tell. Any iTunes curmudgeon is a friend of mine. Don’t you just love finding a new blog to read? If you don’t — why are you here? ahem… cough cough…
Now, back to that Samsung laser printer install… gotta’ print some fanmail from a flounder. Wow, Jeff got three links. That’s a new record… maybe.
Oh … and the install? I’ll let you know, I have to reboot and try it. Very unMac but the printer driver isn’t showing up on the list when attempting to add the Samsung. No biggie, most likely.
