One thing we’ve learned over the last couple of months — Playa Samara, Costa Rica? You have to REALLY WANT to get there. To catch a flight on a puddle jumper from the airport in San Jose, you get one shot this time of year (wet season) and that’s at 8:30 in the morning. You basically have to stay overnight and then catch the flight. (a rhyme, how nice). Turns out, we’re having a dear family member fly in for a four day whirlwind Costa Rica vacation. And she can’t get from San Jose to Samara during that whirl. So we’re going to find something swell in between us and San Jose, hopefully so we can get to visit with the visitors.
Well, I hope this is a good place to recommend to them. It’s about 20 minutes from San Jose and looks wonderful. The Visa del Valle Inn and it’s spiffy.
