Dear Val,
I have been thinking about you and Ruth for years now.
Then today, I see your essay. Here is Ruth's spirit right in my issue of the Carrboro Free Press spread out over the (Whirlpool) washing machine. It's Ruth's storytelling voice. I get a glimpse of Bob's smile. Pure poetry, Val.
What a beautiful tribute, Valerie. And I am so sorry for your grief.

In late 2006, Dr. David Allie, a cardiovascular surgeon from Lafayette, Louisiana, learned that his 18-year-old son had been afflicted with flesh-eating bacteria in his upper neck and torso (40% mortality rate) and was not responding to the onslaught of antibiotics that were being administered. Having successfully used the Microcyn Technology (www.oculusis.com/us/technology) to treat a broad range of infections (including MRSA and others) in diabetic foot ulcer and stasis ulcer patients, Dr. Allie decided to have his son treated with Microcyn as well. Within 24 hours of treatment with Microcyn, the infection retreated and within a week his son was out of the ICU and on his way home. Dr. Allie’s experience with his son is detailed in a video at YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3b0gp2C8R5E

Keep up the fantastic work!

Link away oh man of the mule school. I must confess - I'm typing this on my MacAir, a gift from my dear spouse. If not Linux - then Apple. Right?
Oh my...I thought I was the only tinkerer of words who used Linux. Nice to know that you and your husband are such strong advocates of non-MS OSs. I'm using the GNOME version of PCLinuxOS, downloaded from linuxgator.org. I have it on three computers on my home network. Much improved version of Linux from my early days of playing with Red Hat 5.2.
As Helen probably mentioned, I submitted an SLS and a poem to The Mule a few days ago.
Keep up the great work. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading The Mule over the holidays. If you don't mind, I'd like to link to your site.

I am an oaf. Count that godaddy comment of mine as incorrect. Goshdarnit. But hey! I made bigger mistakes than that in my life, like the time I thought my car was stolen and my friend Billy Jean borrowed it. If I kept my mouth shut every time I didn't know what I was talking about, hell -- I'd have nothing to say.
Got the whois info from Gandi, didn't realize info was missing... and then golly goober, when I googled for more info, it sent me to nodaddy forums so I naturally just assumed...
and ya'll know about making an ass out of me and you if you fool me once or something like that.
Thanks for reading my blog, ya'll. And for setting me straight about that Bastion of Virtue, the Company GoDaddy.

I do a lot of monitoring of Godaddy because of reviews I write and your blog post came up from a Google Blog alert. I just wanted to let you know that when I look at the domain in a whois lookup, Godaddy is the Registrar of the domain name, but the registrant is listed out of Florida. Godaddy is based out of Arizona, and even from all the questionable things i've heard about them, i've never heard about them setting up shop in Florida for the sake of cash parking. As the previous commentator provided, it looks like someone else picked up your old domain.

My mother always said, "If you don't know what you're talking about, you should probably keep your mouth shut."
GoDaddy didn't register your domain, you oaf. Check the ENTIRE WhoIs. GoDaddy is merely the registrar, just like they were when you owned it. Someone bought your domain when you let it expire.

First, full disclosure, I am a seller on bonanazle, and I do not sell the type of of items you describe, I make all of my products.
I have found, browsed numerous of these type of items, in fact in our forum on a thread on sales, everyone seems to be in consensous that the "not new" OOAK, or collectible type items are selling the best.
Maybe give us another look? To really see exactly the type of items you are looking for and the quanity of listings, try the category page.
I do hope you will take the time to give Bonanzle another look!

Thanks Valerie for mentioning Bonanzle on your blog.
I've never been into posting on blogs. I was satisfied with reading them. But, since I've been a Bonanzler, I want to share this wonderful selling venue with the world.
Valerie, please come back and visit us and see how we have grown. We are 6,386 members strong. Take a look at the diversified items that are being offered. Somewhere around 250,000.

I've been on Bonanzle for 30 days after leaving eBay after 9 years.
I love Bonanzle. I love the warm sincere friendliness of the community. The customer support is awesome. Although, with the detailed easy to follow help guides very liitle is needed.
You can list numerous items within a few minutes and have four free pictures. Your blood isn't sucked out when it comes to final value fees either. Oh, your booth and the listings are all free too.
I am so thankful to have found the Bonanzle website.
