Assemblagist Activities

Posted by vmac under WordGames, ephemera

This is a defining moment.

New work online at my assemblagist.org site. I kinda’ like it, but it’s just a peek into Dr. Eckart Finial’s work…

Feels like home

Posted by vmac under WordGames

Been working on The Assemblagist website of mine for weeks and just left this one in the dust. Meanwhile, we adopted a new puppy. Not just a puppy, I mean ahhhhh, uhhhh, she’s like Mothra – the giant pup who will stomp her way through life devouring entire communities with one chomp. I should teach the grandballoons to stay in a little wagon while chanting “Proxxxxxyyyyy, Proxxxxxyyyyyy”. (instead of two little girls chanting Mofra, Mofra… get it?) The gigantous canine goes by many names – ranging from Jesus H. Christ to Goddammmmit, to Proxy, Roxanne, and Miss Petunia. We try to use Proxy the most. She also goes by “KENNEL!! KENNEL!!” when all else fails.

She’s a sweet pea, about 25 lbs and 4 months old. Paws the size of a sabertooth tiger’s, legs like the trunks of a 200 year old oak tree. Solid and dependable. Maybe we should have named her F150.

Life here on Brown Street breeds creativity — better than familiarity which, as we all know, just breeds contempt. Time for Survivor… which gets worse every season and yet, for some damn reason, I am compelled to watch every freaking episode.

Oh wait! Signed on to Art House Coop’s latest projects. Check them out, they’re some fine Atlanta folk. Tell them ChipgeeSwizzle said “hey”.

Use a walker, not a hospital table. Hint #34.

Posted by vmac under ephemera

Momma fell yesterday. They did a swell job of packing her into transport and getting a CAT scan at the local ER, about 2 blocks away from her “protected living” arrangement. Seems she thought her walker was too far to reach so she used her hospital table as a support. Not real smart – as she readily admits. She’s fine complete with a big bump on the back of her head…

The Frail Elderly strike again. She gets this week’s early bird prize — creating a maelstrom of concern before noon on a Monday. The ER waiting room was a sea of squalor with people eating Bill’s Hot Dogs, yes siree, smothered in onions. There is hell on earth and his name is Odor.

As for this assemblagist – few things are worth artistic scrutiny in the ER. I’m not into plastics… or germs, for that matter. Oh, and new website coming soon for my Aesthetic Assemblage Art. The Triple-A’s of Quality Altered Images, that’s me. Look for me soon on assemblagist.org or maybe even assemblagist.net.

Meanwhile, real world internet dealings still take precedence here. Rob’s working hard, he finally posted this morning on Ideal Absolutes about our many sites in progress. Wow… over 150 so far and more to come. Hire a hacker. I like that.

[Feist or Jack Russell? local joke, sorry]

Assemblagist Blog coming soon…

Posted by vmac under WordGames

MacEwan.net will contain two blogs soon – one about caring for the frail elderly (my 91 year old Mom, which most of you already know about… dear Ruthie) and another Assemblagist.org which will feature my art with a photo gallery and other information.
