I grew up in the Nixon years…

Working on a review of a new camera – bought with money from first prize blue ribbon win at Beaufort me and my shadowCounty Arts Council’s Fine Arts Show this month. I want to see if the camera will handle scanner-level photography of ephemera. It would make my artistic life much simpler if it did. It’s a pain scanning photos and old documents.

This camera is amazing thus far. More detail tomorrow after Rob tells me how to maximize my earning potential with the proper review placement and such…

oooooooh. I do love this MacBook Air.

There’s a hitch in my get-along.

Apparently my deadmule at gmail ain’t working so grand these days. Could be because some of ya’ll have vmac at mac net and it’s not forwarding correctly. Whatever the cause, if I’m not responding to emails, please try again. There’s always the old stand-by popmattersbooks at yahoo – I still use that for Freecycle mail and you can get me there if you use caps in your subject line.

The debate? It’s not between Obama and McCain. It is a Thompson v Linus upstairs hall meeting about who gets the down-filled pillow on the king-size bed and who must remain rug-bound. Territorial debates always solved by that “grrrrrrrrr” of the alpha dog.

Got to finish my “Fishing for Nixon” pieces that I will enter in the Beaufort County Arts Council’s 44th Annual Fine Arts Show. Maybe I can do better than Third Place this year? hmmmmm… Ephemera can fool the eye but can it impress the judge, artist Tom Grubb of the Fayetteville Arts Center?
